Ingredients

Varieties of green tea are cultivated in those countries where black tea can be grown. Like India, Indonesia and Vietnam uses Assam tea to make green tea. In China, Long-Jing from Si-Hu and Biluochun from Dong-ting also produce top quality green tea that is known for their excellence. In Taiwan, Citrus green heart is the predominant variety. Biluochun from San-Xia is the most well-known.

Appearance

Appearance of green tea can be divided into straps, balls, powder and mixed flower tea.

Location

Green tea has a subtle elegant flavour, which is suitable to combine with various petals to create more interesting tastes. Jasmine, Osmanthus, or Rose flower green tea. Jasmine tea from Vietnam is popularly sold in Taiwan.

Matcha mainly come from Taiwan and Japan. Matcha refers to finely grinded green tea. This type of green tea is first steamed so maximum amount of catechin can be preserved. Matcha can be used as an ingredient in recipes.
